Svante Runnquist, CEO of VSM Group since 1 January, 1997 has decided it is time for new leadership to continue the successful development of the company and has therefore decided to leave his position.

“During his eight years as CEO, Svante Runnquist has developed the company with energy and enthusiasm. Under his leadership the Group´s sales have increased from 954 MSEK in 1997 to 2165 MSEK in 2004 with commensurate profitability. The strategy developed by Svante Runnquist and his management team will remain in place. Investments in innovative product development and a professional dealer network will continue. His successor together with the management team will continue the work to maintain VSM Groups position as the leader in the world of Creative Sewing”, comments Mats G Ringesten, chairman of the Board.

The Board of the VSM Group has today appointed Jörgen Johansson as new President and CEO. He will take up his position immediately.
