Carrollton, Texas, March 8, 2012 – Vendor Resource Management, Inc., (“VRM”) a full service, nationwide asset management company today announced that it has completed its Service Organization Control (“SOC”) attestation engagement, commonly referred to as a SOC 1 engagement. The SOC 1 engagement was conducted by a nationally recognized independent auditing firm pursuant to Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (“SSAE”) No. 16, Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization (“SSAE 16”) issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”).   In June 2011, SSAE 16 replaced the AICPA’s Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70, Service Organizations, (“SAS 70”) with required reporting being applicable to service organizations for periods ending on or after June 15, 2011.
