Vattenfall holds Extraordinary General Meeting

An Extraordinary General Meeting for Vattenfall AB will be held on
Thursday 11 December 2003 at 13.00 at Vattenfall's head office, Birger
Jarlsgatan 33, Stockholm.

The main items on the agenda will be a decision on the payment of an
extra dividend and the election of two new Board members.

The Board will propose that the EGM approves an extra dividend of SEK
190 000 000.

Maarit Aarni and Lone Fønss Schrøder will be proposed as new Board
members.

Maarit Aarni, who was born in 1953, is Vice President of Borealis
Polymers Oy, Finland, Business Unit Phenol. She was previously President
of Borealis A/S, Olefins, Business Unit Phenol & Aromatics Denmark. She
is a chemical engineer and holds an MBA, and is a Finnish citizen.

Lone Fønss Schrøder, who was born in 1960, is Partner and the CFO/CBO of
CMC Biopharmaceuticals. She was previously Vice President of A.P.
Møller, with responsibility for the Gas Tanker division and thereafter
for the Global Procurement Pilot, Bulk and Car Carrier (PCTC) divisions.
She is a graduate in economics and business studies and holds a Bachelor
of Laws degree. Lone Fønss Schrøder is a Danish citizen.
