Two new Board members in Vattenfall

TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS IN VATTENFALL

Maarit Aarni, Finland, and Lone Fønss Schrøder, Denmark, have been
appointed new Board members of Vattenfall at the Extraordinary General
Meeting held today, Thursday. The EGM also approved an extra dividend of
SEK 190 Million, as proposed.

Maarit Aarni, who was born in 1953, is Vice President of Borealis
Polymers Oy, Finland, Business Unit Phenol. She was previously President
of Borealis A/S, Olefins, Business Unit Phenol & Aromatics Denmark. She
is a chemical engineer and holds an MBA, and is a Finnish citizen.

Lone Fønss Schrøder was born in 1960. She was previously Senior Vice
President of A.P. Mxller, with responsibility for the Gas Tanker
division and thereafter for the Global Procurement Pilot, Bulk and Car
Carrier (PCTC) divisions. She is a graduate in economics, business and
law and holds Masters of Law and Economics. Lone Fønss Schrøder is a
Danish citizen.
