Vattenfall sells its minority stake in German municipal company Städtische Werke...

Vattenfall has sold its 24.9% minority stake in German municipal company Städtische Werke AG, Kassel, to Munich-based Thüga AG.

Upon request by the buyer Vattenfall has agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The closing date of the transaction was December 15.

The sale is part of Vattenfall's group-wide strategy to divest non-core assets.

New wind farm investment of over one billion Euros

Forcefully investing in renewable energy, Vattenfall has now entered into the DanTysk project for the construction of an offshore wind farm in the North Sea. The wind farm will produce renewable energy equivalent to the electricity consumption of 500,000 households.
