LOS ANGELES, CA,  July 27, 2011 – The Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. (CAP) today announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors. The election results were ratified at CAP’s annual meeting on July 21, 2011 at its Los Angeles corporate headquarters.

Lisa Thomsen, MD, FAAFP, a board certified family practitioner in Glendora, joins CAP’s 15-member board after serving as a member of CAP’s Fellows Program. The remaining two vacancies were filled by current members of the Mutual Protection Trust (MPT) Board of Trustees who will fulfill dual roles as members of each board: Charles Steinmann, MD, a Newport Beach anesthesiologist and Phillip Unger, MD a Fullerton radiologist.
