WASHINGTON, D.C., February 27, 2012— The Washington Design Center is pleased to announce the 2012 DreamHome themed Design Craft. Celebrating the next generation of design in Washington, D.C., eight emerging interior designers have been selected to create rooms inspired by the works featured in the exhibition "40 Under 40: Craft Futures," opening this summer at the Renwick Gallery.
The 2012 DreamHome designers will explore color, texture, scale, and perspective through their interpretations of artworks in the exhibition. Located on the 5th Floor of the The Washington Design Center, the DreamHome provides inspiration for how the design center’s furnishings, fabric and decor can be combined into spectacular residential spaces.
The 2012 DreamHome will be unveiled at a preview party on March 15, and will remain open through Nov. 30.
