Target Chartered Accountants have played a key role in a major acquisition for London-based Tribune Business Systems (Tribune), a specialist in virtual desktop technology for businesses and the education sector.

The firm’s Transaction Services team carried out the due diligence work for Tribune on the deal, which saw it acquire the business and assets of Bolton-based Zentek.

Founded 16 years ago, Zentek specialises in educational technology solutions for schools, colleges, and other learning centres. As part of the deal, Tribune will acquire Zentek’s school-based ICT service contracts and all staff will be transferred to Tribune.

Commenting on the deal, Simon Morrison, Associate Director at Target Chartered Accountants, said: “This acquisition represents a major step for Tribune’s growth plans, as it looks to strengthen its position as leading ICT suppliers to the education sector, and offers substantial benefits to all involved”.
