Sweco acquires the operations of the Metrix AB

Sweco has acquired the operations of the construction design company Metrix AB with ten employees. The company will be part of Sweco’s growing operations in the structural engineering area.
“It is highly satisfying that Sweco is continuing to grow, both organically and through acquisitions. We recently surpassed 3,000 employees in Sweden,” says Eva Nygren, President of Sweco Sweden.
Metrix offers structural engineering consulting services such as studies, planning and design, descriptions and construction project management.
“Metrix will enhance our structural engineering operations in core areas such as the food industry, shopping centres, hospitals and residential development,” says Sören Hed, President of Sweco Structures.
Metrix’s clients are found in both the building and industrial construction areas. Metrix was established in the autumn of 2001 and today has ten employees. Its clients include well known players such as Rodamco, Skanska, Locum, Pontona, Scottich & Newcastle, the City of Stockholm Sports Authority and Baltic Beverage Holding AB (BBH).
