The Danish company Unifeeder A/S was awarded Ports of Stockholm’s Environmental Buoy 2010. The reason for this honour was:”Ports of Stockholm’s Environmental Buoy is awarded to Unifeeder A/S for the exemplary development of a means of calculating the carbon dioxide savings of sea transportation.”

WWF awarded the 2009 Environmental Buoy

Each year Ports of Stockholm awards the Environmental Buoy prize to an organisation demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental issues and shipping. This year the honour goes to the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) for its success in scrutinising, publicising and sparking the debate on the release of vessel waste and the abilities of ports to handle black and grey water.

Ports of Stockholm nominated for Societal Integration of Ports Award

The European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) has launched a competition for the best project to integrate a port with an urban environment. Ports of Stockholm has submitted the project Stockholm Royal Sea Port - A Port Integration Project. Of thirty applications, seven have been nominated to compete for the ESPO Award and Ports of Stockholm is among these.
