Gestamp acquires SSAB HardTech

The Spanish company Gestamp Automoción acquires SSAB's subsidiary SSAB HardTech for an enterprise value of SEK 1,425 million.

Gestamp Automoción manufactures and supplies components to the automotive industry, including rear axels, complete door assemblies, switch panels, bumpers, A- and B- pillars and chassis subassemblies. The company has 7,600 employees, and had sales of EUR 1.2 billion in 2003.

SSAB reports record results for the third quarter

SSAB today presented its results for the first three quarters of 2004.

Sales increased by 9% and amounted to SEK 5,671 (5,206) million. Profit after tax improved to SEK 504 (287) million, equal to earnings per share of SEK 5.00 (2.85).
