Sigma and Göteborgs-Posten develop event guide for iPhone

Sigma, together with the Swedish daily Göteborgs-Posten, has developed an iPhone application for guiding you during this summer's Stena Match Cup Sweden at Marstrand. The guide ensures that with the help of your iPhone, you will get the most out of your visit.
The goal with development of the event guide application was that it would serve as a complete guide to all types of events in Sweden. Stena Match Cup Sweden, to be held at Marstrand from July 5 to 11, will be the first to offer the guide.
The new application, which can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store, is called Event Guiden and will help you get the most out of your week in Marstrand. Via Event Guiden, you can find information about the contestants and view the results. Nearby restaurants, attractions and hotels are shown on a map.
"Our goal is that Event Guiden will be downloaded by a couple of thousand users at Marstrand," says Charlotte Odbjer, Market Manager at Göteborgs-Posten. "Because the application is also flexible and easy to adapt to any event, we anticipate continued use of the app at coming events."
Event Guiden is designed to enrich your attendance at various events, with information and maps directly in your iPhone. Examples of services and information you can find in Event Guiden:

- How to travel to/from the event with public transport, and where you can park
- Hotels and hostels
- Restaurants and cafes
- Updated news
