(Aug. 24, 2011) – Florida-based homeowners insurance provider, Security First Insurance Company, announces the launch of Security First Claim, a free iPhone® application giving policyholders the ability to use their mobile device to file claims, upload photos of the damage and check the status of claims. Security First Claim is integrated with the company’s policyholder database saving customers from having to enter tedious policy or property detail.

According to a recent study, Americans and Their Cell Phones, conducted by The Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 40 percent of cell phone owners said they found themselves in an emergency situation in which having their cell phone with them has helped.
