Sectra's interim report (May-October) for first six months of fiscal year
2000/01: Increased international sales

Sectra reports increased sales, income and order bookings for the first
six months of fiscal year 2000/01, compared with the year-earlier period.
Sales increased 34 percent to SEK 106.6 million (79.6), and income before
tax totaled SEK 9.9 million (0.7). Order bookings rose 56 percent to SEK
195.1 million (125.4).

"Our operations in the current fiscal year continue to show favorable
development. During the last quarter, we achieved international success on
several fronts, creating greater market interest in our products and
system solutions," says Jan-Olof Brüer, President and CEO of Sectra. "We
are focusing on increased globalization, and has opened new offices in
Italy and Denmark to supplement existing offices in Norway, the US and
Germany."

Sectra has achieved continued sales success for the company's digital X-
ray workstation (PACS), which also received the highest ranking in a
recent international scientific study.

"To be rated the best in an international evaluation, compared with
systems from all major international PACS vendors, will mean a great deal
to our future sales and business development in a market where we're a
relatively small company in relation to our competitors," continues Jan-
Olof Brüer.

"During the six-months period under review, we received an order from the
United States European Command (USEUCOM) for our eavesdrop-secure Tiger
mobile telephone. We also received an important order from the American
network operator CUE for our new mobile Internet product, CitySurfer,
which was introduced at the Networks Telecom trade show in Stockholm in
September," concludes Jan-Olof Brüer.

In the beginning of November, Sectra launched a new mammography system,
Sectra MicroDose Mammography, based on a completely new digital technique.

The system uses minimal radiation dose to achieve the same high-quality
imaging offered by today's film-based systems. Mammography is a sector
characterized by very significant potential. Virtually every country in
the western world offers women some form of mammography programs, and
mammography testing is the second most common form of X-ray examinations
in the world. The new mammography system is expected to be ready for
commercial use year 2002.
