Patient safety was crucial in the selection of IT system

A group of four Swedish hospitals, has implemented a complete IT solution for the management of radiology images and patient information from the IT and medical-technology company Sectra.

“We must be able to offer advanced and safe healthcare for our patients and, accordingly, we have invested in a new system with high accessibility, stability and safety, from a supplier with whom we have good prior experience,” says Gunilla Nilsson, Head of the radiology operations at Skaraborg hospital. “Sectra’s system is in operation at several nearby hospitals and corresponds well to our requirements.”

Skaraborg Hospitals perform 140,000 examinations yearly and with Sectra RIS/PACS, the customer will be able to share images and patient data across the region in a more efficient workflow.

“Usability and patient safety are key aspects when we develop our solutions,” says Torbjörn Kronander, President of Sectra’s medical operations. “Our system is stable and proven and used by both large and small customers worldwide.”
