Alingsås Hospital, Sweden, invests in digital imaging system from Sectra

The hospital in Alingsås, Sweden, has signed an agreement with the IT and medical technology company Sectra regarding the digitization of its radiology operations. The hospital is investing SEK 7.5 million in modernizing its radiology department and the agreement covers Sectra’s total solution for management of radiology images (PACS) and administration of patient information (RIS).

The IT and medical technology company Sectra has received an order for delivery of it's radiology information system (RIS) to Rikshospitalet in Oslo. The value of the order amounts to approximately SEK 5 million.

Rikshospitalet already uses Sectra's system for handling and archiving radiology images, PACS, and installation of the new radiology information system will start at the beginning of 2005.
