Deliveries of Scania trucks during the period January through November 1998
increased by 8 percent.

3,764 (4,204) buses and 4,389 (2,762) industrial and marine engines were
delivered during the period.

The order intake from western Europe is stable, but is declining in central
and eastern Europe. The activity in the Far East remains low.

In Latin America the market is weak. The adaptation of production rates to the
lower demand continues at Scania's units in Latin America.
