New award for Scania in Brazil

:
Leading heavy truck for fifth year in a row

At present, awards are raining down on Scania in Brazil. Last month,
Scania was voted the truck industry's 'Most Admired Company' by the
leading business magazine Carta Capital, and the Brazilian haulage
association, NTC, has now voted Scania the winner in its category of
'Best heavy truck manufacturer' for the fifth year in a row.

The NTC (Associação Nacional do Transporte de Cargas) award has gone to
Scania for its proven leadership in the areas of quality, technology,
service and pricing. The award was the result of a vote by all of the
association's member companies.

Just a few weeks earlier, Scania was voted 'Most Admired Company' by the
leading Brazilian business magazine Carta Capital. In its verdict, the
magazine referred particularly to Scania's strong brand, innovativeness
and spirit of corporate citizenship.

Commenting on the awards, Emanuel Queiroz, head of Scania's marketing
operations in the Brazilian market said: "These awards are an
acknowledgement of the 45 years that Scania has been operating here in
Brazil. The Scania name has become synonymous with the best truck on the
market, both among people in the industry and among Brazilian corporate
leaders in general."

Scania has built and sold 170,000 trucks and buses in Latin America -
most of them in Brazil - since 1957. About 110,000 of these are still in
