All employees of Scania's busbuilding operation in Katrineholm offered
continued employment

The restructuring of Scania's busbuilding operation is ongoing, and it
is now clear that Scania will be able to offer all employees of its
busbuilding operation in Sweden continued employment either in
Katrineholm or Södertälje. Scania considers it important to communicate
this information before the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Following the usual codetermination negotiations, Scania aims to
establish a separate bodybuilding company in Katrineholm. The new
company will be responsible for all bodybuilding activities. To ensure
the availability of skills and the prospects of long-term profitability,
200 employees of the bodybuilding operation will be offered continued
employment with the new bodybuilding company. These jobs will remain in
Katrineholm.

For the continued development of chassis production, which is the bigger
element of Scania's bus business in terms of volume, the remaining
employees of the present busbuilding operation in Katrineholm will be
offered continued employment in Södertälje.
