Scandic introduces personally customized beds as the first hotel chain in the wo...

The important role played by the bed for the overall hotel experience is easily understood. Therefore, as the first hotel chain in the world, Scandic now introduce adaptable beds that can be adjusted to meet all personal comfort preferences by the hotel guests. The campaign is a collaboration with the Swedish bed manufacturer Bliss Nordic which has developed the world patented bed design.

Top marks in the European Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study Scandic’s guests...

The 2010 European Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study, a report published by JD Power and Associates, shows that Scandic ranks highest for customer satisfaction in the mid-scale full service category. The annual study asked over 14,400 hotel guests across Europe how happy they were with their stays. Anders Ehrling, President and CEO of Scandic, recently accepted the associated award in Stockholm.

Scandic adds more hotels in the Nordic region

Continuing its Nordic expansion, Scandic welcomes three new franchise hotels.

Each hotel guest uses 209 litres of water a day

The Scandic hotel chain has been measuring water consumption at its hotels since 1996. Back then, each guest used 240 litres of water per day; now that figure is down to 209 litres. This is lower than is required for Scandic’s hotels to be approved under the Nordic Swan ecolabelling scheme.
