Hop off to Scandinavia this Half Term

Free City Cards and Sale Fares from £61 means SAS offers even better value

31 August, 2010 - Let SAS inspire an October half term break in Scandinavia.   Current special offers mean that families can book great Seat Sale fares and benefit from a free City Card in either Stockholm or Copenhagen for the October half term period.

Booking a return flight before Monday 6 September means one way fares from as little as £61 including taxes from Heathrow to Stockholm or Copenhagen.   The City Card offer means a free 24 hour card for all return flights between now and the end of October, and the Seat Sale is for travel from 1 October to 15 December 2010 - including half term week.  Each City Card covers public transport and free entrance to over 60 attractions - enough to give even the most energetic family a great start to their break!

For example, in a week or weekend in Copenhagen, kids and parents could enjoy:
Cirkusmuseet - Here children can dress up and be a juggler or a clown in a mini circus ring
Hans Christian Andersen's House - See the original scripts and paper cuts of some of our best loved stories
Copenhagen Zoo - Check out the new elephant house designed by Sir Norman Foster and climb to the top of the zoo tower for a fabulous city view

Alternatively make Stockholm the base for a family break to sample:
Junibacken - Whether they have read the stories of Astrid Lindgren or not, an hour in this colourful museum will have the children hooked
Vasa Museum - Visit the world's only preserved 17th century ship in this former shipyard
Butterfly House - Stockholm's oldest winter garden and home to hundreds of exotic butterflies as well as frogs, parrots and many other insects and animals

The City Card offer is valid until 31 October and permits any traveller booking a return flight with SAS to Copenhagen or Stockholm one 24 hour City Card.  Three children under seven years of age are entitled to accompany an adult holder of a City Card in Stockholm for free, while for Copenhagen the City Card extends the benefits to two children under the age of nine with every adult card.

SAS also offers 25% off for children between 2 - 11 years inclusive, a baggage allowance of 20kg, allocated seating and a generous loyalty programme, Eurobonus, that even allows children to earn points.
