DIWALI GOES DIGITAL

Saavn Puts Bollywood Fans in the Picture This Holiday Season
New York, October 26th, 2011 -  Just in time for the holidays, Saavn today launched Diwaligram.com, a website offering a fast, free, and fun way for Bollywood fans around the world to say “Happy Diwali” to friends and family.

Diwali, the biggest holiday on the Indian calendar, is an important holiday for families all over the world, and thanks to Diwaligram, sending holiday cheer to relatives everywhere just got easier. “Diwaligram is great,” said Kirit Jaswani, a local businessman. “We’re going to send this out as our family Diwali greeting this year.”

Bollywood fans can visit Diwaligram.com today to animate themselves dancing to Akon’s “Chammak Challo,” from Ra.One. It’s as simple as uploading a photo, selecting a festive costume, and finally, choosing some Bollywood-inspired dance moves (“The Auntie,” “The Namaste,” etc.) to create a hilarious Diwaligram dancer.

“Diwaligram is our gift to Bollywood fans everywhere,” said Saavn Editor in Chief Sneha Mehta, “We’ve brought Bollywood together with the latest technology, so that anyone can make their own digital music video and put a smile on their loved ones’ faces this Diwali, no matter where they are. In fact, after India, we’ve seen the biggest response in the U.S.A, Canada, and U.K.”
