"The board of directors of Grintek has been informed by SAAB AB ("SAAB"), through its wholly owned subsidiary SAAB South Africa (Proprietary) Limited ("SAAB SA"), that Saab is investigating proposals which may lead to it making an offer, subject, inter alia, to the approval of the necessary regulatory authorities, to acquire all of the Grintek shares that it does not already own other than the shares held by Kunene Finance Company (Proprietary) Limited and Kunene Technology Investments (Proprietary) Limited for a cash consideration of R1.70 per Grintek share.

Shareholders of Grintek are therefore advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company's shares until further announcements are made. Centurion 9 November 2004"
