Tampa, Fla. – In an effort to broaden its reach, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) has restructured its membership categories, now offering one category for individuals to join – Individual Membership. Previously, the OAC also offered additional membership categories specifically for professionals and physicians, which were accompanied with higher membership dues. In evaluating this structure, the OAC recognized that segmenting the categories provided no additional strength in our voice, as the OAC is about the individual affected by obesity and all who are concerned with the epidemic.

The OAC is proud to now offer one single category for individuals to join for just $20/year – Individual Membership. The OAC still offers two categories for companies and organizations to join – Institutional Membership and Chairman’s Council Membership.
