All production lines back in operation at ProfilGruppen

The production facility at ProfilGruppen that in June suffered from a major fire has now resumed its production after three months of production stop. Focus has from day one been on minimizing the negative impact for ProfilGruppens customers. This has gone beyond expectations since production could be re-routed to other presses. The restored pressline has also been partly modernized.

ProfilGruppen: Arbitration set aside by the court of appeal

As previously announced ProfilGruppen was awarded SEK 8.0 million plus interest in punitive damages in an arbitration in December 2010. The damage was not recognised as income. The counterpart, KPMG, later filed a motion to set aside the arbitration claiming their own arbitrator had been judicially disqualified.

The Svea Court of Appeal has concluded that due to this reaspm KPMG's arbitrator was not qualified....

ProfilGruppen has today, as one of the steps in an ongoing efficiency program, made a decision to initiate negotiations regarding personnel reductions of 55 employees. The negotiations with the unions will be started immediately. "It is terribly sad to be forced to lay off personnel but it is necessary to assure our long term competitiveness", says acting CEO Peter Schön.

CEO of ProfilGruppen is leaving due to family reasons

The CEO of ProfilGruppen, Claes Seldeby has announced his resignation due to family reasons and will leave the company on 1 September 2011. Peter Schön, CFO of ProfilGruppen, has been appointed deputy CEO from the same day. The recruitment of a new CEO of ProfilGruppen has been initiated.

Fire incident at one of ProfilGruppen's production facilities

Late last night, a fire broke out at one of ProfilGruppen's production facilities for extrusion of profiles. The production at the unit is halted for the time being and cleanup work has started. The extent of the damage, and thus also the duration of the production interruption, will be investigated during the week.
