Change in the number of shares of MEDA AB

Pursuant to chapter 4, section 9 of the Financial Instruments Trading Act (1991:980), this notice hereby declares that as of 31 December 2008, the number of shares of Meda is 302,243,055. This is an increase of 43,177,580 shares compared to the previous month. The increase is due to shares newly issued in conjunction with Meda’s 2008 preferential rights issue.
