VOLVO TRUCKS WIN TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2000

The Volvo FH12 will be crowned 'Truck of the Year 2000' at the Amsterdam
Truck Show. This makes Volvo the first brand to have won the industry's
most prestigious award five times. The FH12 is also the first model to win
the award twice. The FH series was an immediate success when it was
introduced in 1993 and was named Truck of the Year 1994.

Volvo Aero secures first IT-order in product support field

VOLVO AERO SECURES FIRST IT ORDER IN PRODUCT SUPPORT FIELD

Volvo Aero has secured its first major order for software systems. The
company has been selected as the supplier of a new maintenance and
planning system, Maintenix. The purchaser is the U.S. company DynCorp,
which intends to use the system to enhance the efficiency of maintenance
on the U.S. Army's C-12 aircraft.

MAJOR ORDER FOR VOLVO TRUCKS FROM IRAN

Volvo has received an order for 1,500 F12 kits from Iran. The value of the
deal corresponds to some SEK 0.5 billion. Deliveries are expected to
becompleted during the first half of 2000.

Volvo Aero Corporation has secured an order from General Electric for 600
LPT Case components. The total value of the order is approximately SEK 300
million.

The order is expected to keep about 20 persons employed for five years,
beginning in 2001. The LPT (Low-Pressure Turbine Case) is a component in

On Wednesday, the President and CEO of Scania, Leif Östling, inaugurated
the latest Scania Polska facility in Warsaw. The new Scania Center, the
result of a 40 million kronor investment, is located in Nadarzyn about 20
kilometres south of Warsaw along the motorway to Katowitze, and it will be
