NCC to build sequence sorting plant in Trollhättan for
SEK 140 million

NCC has been commissioned by LB Kiel Nordic Finance AB, a daughter
company of the bank LB Kiel of Germany, to build a sequence sorting
plant in Trollhättan. The plant will serve the production for SAAB
Automobile. The order value is approximately SEK 140 million.

A sequence sorting plant is a facility where components needed for a
specific car are collected and delivered to SAAB's final assembly line a
few minutes before final assembly (just-in-time delivery). Certain
supplementary assembly services can also be conducted at the plant. Work
is conducted in shifts adapted to SAAB's working hours.

The plant will have a total of 18,800 square meters of floor space, with
14 docking bays. Worked building space is 60,000 square meters. All of
the inside floor space will be equipped with water sprinklers for fire
protection. The floors in the assembly halls will be pile-driven into
the bedrock and dimensioned for bearing a load of 5,000 kg per square
meter.

The plant is scheduled for completion in August 2002, with the first
part moving in in the end of April 2002.
