NCC secures order worth SEK 266 million to build schools in Norway

NCC Construction Norway has been commissioned by the Municipality of Verdal, north of Trondheim, in Norway to build two new comprehensive schools. The contract is worth approximately SEK 266 million.
The new comprehensive schools will also feature a joint in-door swimming and leisure center. The entire facility will measure a total of 8,000 square meters.

Work on the project will start in May 2010 and continue until December 2011. Following completion, work on demolishing the old school in the same area will ensue. The demolition assignment is scheduled to be completed by spring 2012.

The project will be performed as a turnkey contract and the order will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2009.

The assignment is subject to definitive approval from the municipal executive board of Verdal.
