NCC Polish company Hydrobudowa secures construction contract from
Maritime Office in Slupsk worth SEK 230 million
Hydrobudowa SA Gdansk has concluded an agreement with Maritime Office in
Slupsk regarding reconstruction of the Port of Kolobrzeg entrance at the
Polish North Coast. The order is worth approximately SEK 230 million
(PLN 96,5 million).
This represents the second phase of the building program in the area.
The contract will be fully executed by Hydrobudowa excluding the
dredging that constitutes about 30 percent of the total works.
Hydrobudowa constructed the first phase of the Maritime Office in S³upsk
reconstruction program in Kolobrzeg.
The project will mainly consist of extension of breakwater's stone core,
superstructure on the all length of the breakwater including
breakwater's head, filling-up of a protective armour, stone armour,
superstructure on the all length, construction of fender dolphins,
mooring dolphins, construction of a new platform quay, navigation aids
and electrical system.
Construction will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion
in May 2006.
"From Hydrobudowa's viewpoint, the contract at Kolobrzeg is extremely
important. It secures our activities in our core business for the coming
years and shows our strength for the coming harbour extensions and NATO
works. The assignment will correspond to a full year's production for
our Kolobrzeg worksite," says Wojciech Czajko, President of Hydrobudowa
