NCC builds a shopping mall and office center in Berlin, worth SEK 210
million
NCC Germany has received an order to build a new shopping mall and
office center in Adlershof in Berlin. Investor is Grundkonzept GmbH,
Germany. The order is worth about SEK 210 million (DEM 44 million).
The area Adlershof is a district with a high concentration of scientific
companies, research institutes and other technological companies.
Located right next to the natural science institutes of the Berlin
Humboldt University, the building with a total of about 23.000 m² of
floor space will be finished within the next 20 months. Six floors high,
the mall offers two underground parking garages for 600 cars, two office
floors and two floors for shops and wholesalers.
Berlin´s mayor Klaus Wowereit was the most famous VIP-guest during the
ceremony of turning the first sod for the Adlershof Gate, as the
shopping mall will be called.
Before starting the construction, more than 90 per cent of the total
floor space are already rented out.
