WESTPORT, Conn., Nov. 14—With millions of viewers tuning in weekly to watch TLC’s “Extreme Couponing” featuring shoppers saving hundreds of dollars on groceries each week, coupon use has increased dramatically. Coupon Sherpa reports that 332 billion coupons were redeemed last year, saving U.S. families a total of $3.7 billion -- an increase of 21 billion coupons over the previous year.
