Pinot and Panini Pairings (1:00 p.m. on Thurs, Fri & Sat; reservations required; $45.00 per person)
The new Panini and Pinot Pairing celebrates the chill in the air and the approach of winter. For the season, we move our pairings indoors where you will be seated in a cozy spot by the fireplace. In a nod to the season, Chef Sandra Simile has prepared menu of comfort food, to be served family style and enjoyed with friends. The locovore meal will feature warm roasted vegetables and a Panini made from artisan bread sourced from Beth’s Nightingale Bakery in Forestville and local meats and cheeses. These will be paired with the 2007 and 2008 Russian River Valley Pinot Noirs which are perfect examples of vintage variation in the Russian River Valley. The 2007 Pinot Noir is light, elegant and fruit forward and pairs beautifully with fresh roasted vegetables. The 2008 Pinot Noir on the other hand is much more muscular and a good match for a hearty winter Panini.
