Loomis establishes new agreement with Lidl

Loomis Sverige AB has signed an agreement with Lidl regarding cash management services for all of Lidl’s stores in Sweden. The agreement is in effect for a period of two years with a possible extension, and includes both secure transportation and cash processing services. The annual contract value is approximately MSEK 7 and the contract comes into effect on 1 December 2010.

Loomis’ operating income (EBITA)(1) for the first nine months amounted to MSEK 650, including exchange rate effects of  MSEK –60, compared with MSEK 601 for the equivalent period in 2009. The operating margin increased to 7.8 percent (6.6).

Loomis acquires Big 10 Armor CIT operations

Loomis Armored US, LLC, fully owned subsidiary of Loomis AB, has agreed to acquire the assets and customers contracts from Badger Armor, Inc. dba Big Ten Armor in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Loomis will acquire customer contracts, with an annual invoicing of 9.5 M USD, for customers based in both states along with taking on their 160 employees and their 60 vehicles.

Loomis acquires the operations in a cash handling company in Gothenburg

Loomis has acquired the operations in the cash handling company Visira, in Gothenburg. The company, who’s work includes the transport of cash and counting, has around 80 customers in the Gothenburg region, mainly in the retail sector. The sellers are the company’s founders Kjell Jöfeldt and Krister Ryman.

Loomis takes control of Visira´s operations on the 1st November 2010.

Loomis acquires cash handling company in Czech Republic

Loomis has expanded into the Czech Republic by acquiring the Czech cash handling company Fenix, which has close to 500 employees. The acquisition means that Loomis now operates in 13 European countries and in the USA.

Loomis has taken out a bond loan of MEUR 65 with SEK (Swedish Export Credit Corporation). The loan, which has a term of five years, is 75% guaranteed by EKN (Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board).The funds will be used to partly refinance an outstanding loan facility of around MSEK 3,200 taken out in fall 2008.

Loomis Sverige AB has signed an agreement with Wincor Nixdorf, regarding cash handling services for Danske Bank’s approximately 200 ATMs in Sweden. The two-year agreement has a contract value of approximately MSEK 22.
