Leading Swedish law firms to merge – Lindahl and RydinCarlsten create major player

The law firms of Lindahl and RydinCarlsten are set to merge, creating a firm employing 200 corporate lawyers. The new firm will be a major player, offering a broad range of expertise, the capacity to manage the largest deals and cutting-edge skills adapted to meet the needs of modern, knowledge-intensive businesses.

The merger will create a strong national presence with long experience of international deals, possessing the know-how and resources to provide a full range of legal services.

"The merger will enable us to develop our skills and capacity in the field of intellectual property, dispute resolution and transactions - areas of growing importance to our clients," says Staffan Eklöw, Managing Partner at Lindahl's Stockholm office.

The merger will take place on 1 February 2009. The new firm will be called Lindahl and is expected to have a turnover of SEK 500...
