Purple Heart Homes and Purple America Join Together on Veterans Day to Highlight Shared American Values

Groups Find Common Ground in Shared Values, Ask Others to Do So
Cleveland, Ohio — November 10, 2011 — Non-profit organizations Purple Heart Homes, Inc. and Purple America together are encouraging Americans to remember the shared values that unite us as one nation and are represented by the service of America’s veterans, the groups’ founders say.

Purple Heart Homes was founded by Iraq combat-wounded veterans Dale Beatty and John Gallina, who were both injured November 15, 2004 when the vehicle they were riding in hit an anti-tank mine that exploded resulting in Beatty becoming a double amputee. Gallina suffered severe head and back injuries. Both returned home with a different worldview and wanted to make life easier for those injured who served in all conflicts. Purple Heart Homes provides personalized housing solutions for Service Connected Disabled Veterans.
