LIBERTY, S.C., September 29, 2010 – Joe Pomilia, the executive director of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA), is the keynote speaker of a complimentary insurance technology conference scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Aquarium of Baltimore, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ruth Fisk, worldwide managing director of the Insurance Solutions Group of Hyland Software, Inc., will lead the conference executive briefing session. Event participants will learn about the current state of the insurance industry and the top technology priorities for insurance companies in 2011. Attendees will also receive information about combining industry best practices with current technology to reduce expense ratios, increase efficiency and provide exceptional customer care.
Lunch will be provided and participants may tour the aquarium following the conference. The event is sponsored by Hyland Software, the developer of the OnBase enterprise content management solution and KeyMark Inc, an award-winning document capture, management and workflow systems provider.
Keynote speaker Joseph Pomilia is executive director of IASA. As executive director, he oversees all operations of the association and is an insurance and financial services industry spokesperson on financial and technology issues. Prior to joining IASA, Pomilia worked for the National Association of Independent Insurers (now the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America) as an industry advocate on financial regulation and legislation. He also previously worked for Zurich Insurance and for the Office of the Special Deputy (a division of the Illinois Department of Insurance). Pomilia is a CPA and a graduate of Northern Illinois University.
