– Deploys Denmark’s First IEEE 1588v2 Packet-Based Mobile Backhaul Commercial Network for Telenor
[Copenhagen, Denmark, February 22, 2010] Huawei, a leader in providing next generation telecommunication network solutions for operators around the world, has signed a contract with Telenor Denmark to deploy a Mobile Backhaul Commercial Network for Telenor. This is the first network in Denmark to comply with the IEEE 1588v2 standard allowing Telenor to smoothly modernize the network to LTE (Long Term Evolution). Telenor and Huawei have already started the deployment and later this year Telenor’s Danish customers will benefit from the new technology.
The IEEE 1588v2 is the latest industry standard that enables high-precision clock synchronization and meets the LTE bearer needs of operators.
