Gambro has signed a SEK 60 million contract with IMC - Industries Medico
Chirurgicales in Algeria. The contract covers deliveries of at least 300
dialysis monitors with spare parts and water treatment equipment, during a
period of three years. This is a major break-through for Gambro in the
Algerian market. IMC has an exclusive contract with the government of Algeria
to supply hospitals and clinics with dialysis equipment.
A five year export credit has been structured by Gambro Credit and will be
financed by MeritaNordbanken backed by a guarantee from EKN - "Exportkredit-
nämnden", the Swedish export credit agency. The financing was an integral and
important part of the package offered to IMC.
