Takeover major step in international growth ambitions of re-branded group
Eck en Wiel, 23 January 2012 - Faber Halbertsma Group, Europe’s biggest pallet producer and second largest pallet pooling company, today announced the acquisition of PAKi Logistics, the market leader in the pooling of standardised load carriers. Through this acquisition, the family business, based in Eck en Wiel in the Netherlands, strengthens its position in the European market. The acquisition also marks a major milestone in the international growth ambitions of FHG.

PAKi Logistics, based in Ennepetal, Germany, has for over 35 years been organising – along with more than a hundred specialists, 10,000 pooling stations and more than two million pallets, boxes and plastic load carriers – logistic services in the whole of Europe. Using the latest web-based technology, PAKi Logistics ensures that its customers in industry, trade and transport easily have the right quality load carrier quickly available in the required quantity at the right time in the right location. The company has a growing annual turnover, which in 2011 was around 40 million Euros.
