Fiscal year 2001


The net sales of the Ensto Group in 2001 were 182.8 ME. The net sales
for the preceding year, 200.7 ME, include business operations that have
since been divested. In comparable terms net sales grew by 1.7 %.
Operating profit was 6.5 ME. In 2000 the operating profit was 17.9 ME
(in comparable terms 15.2 ME). The weaker result was mainly due to the
lower level of capacity utilization that followed from the recession on
the market. The market positions of the core businesses of the Ensto
Group are still strong and the Group´s competitive delivery processes
have strenghtened its ability to support its customers in a market
situation where cost efficiency is vital.

· Net sales were 182.8 ME, growth in comparable terms was 1.7 %.
· Operating profit was 6.5 ME equal to 3.6 per cent of net sales.
