Electrolux's sale of Gotthard Nilsson finalized

The sale of the Gotthard Nilsson Group to Stena Metall AB was approved by the
competition authorities and has now been finalized. The sale was presented
preliminarily in a press release on November 12 earlier this year.

Gotthard Nilsson operates in Scandinavia in both recycling and secondary
aluminum manufacturing. Gotthard Nilsson, which is headquartered in Älmhult,
Sweden, has over 500 employees in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. In 1997 sales
amounted to approximately SEK 1.9 billion.

Stena Metall is a recycling company based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The divestiture of Gotthard Nilsson is part of Electrolux's strategy to
concentrate its core business. The divestiture is expected to generate a
capital gain of approximately SEK 150 million.
