Factum Electronics supplies equipment for digital radio to the Swedish
network operator Teracom
Factum Electronics AB, a company in the Effnet Group, has supplied
equipment for digital radio according to the DAB standards to Teracom
AB.
The equipment, a signaling chain for broadcasting of digital radio,
includes audio encoders, service multiplexer and management system.
Teracom has bought the equipment in order to offer Swedish Radio a more
flexible handling of their digital radio services. Factum Electronics
has previously sold similar solutions for digital audio broadcasting to
customers in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Hungary, Korea, and Norway.
"The new solution saves time and money for Swedish Radio. At the same
time it enables us to make cost savings and limit demands on our
resources." says Magnus Rosenberg, Customer Manager at Teracom AB.
"It is very encouraging that Teracom and Swedish Radio invests in the
new technology." says Johan Ericsson, Managing Director of Factum
Electronics. He continues: "DAB is not only about better audio quality,
it also opens up new opportunities for interactive radio and data
services. This will have a major impact on the future development of
radio".
Factum Electronics is a leading system provider to both large national
radio operators and small private radio stations. "DAB by Factum" is now
an established concept for user-friendly and flexible systems that
include audio encoders, multiplexers, equipment for IP-broadcasting and
management systems.
