5/4/2004 4:47 AM EST
Factum Electronics AB has been awarded a contract to supply equipment
for digital radio (DAB) to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. In 1995
the Danish Radio started its first DAB service and has ever since been
on air with DAB. During 2004, Denmark will be the first country in the
world where 100 % of the population will be able to receive DAB.
The total value of the order is estimated at around SEK 3,5 million and
the equipment will be used for two DAB regions. Factum Electronics AB
will deliver systems based on its modular architecture, including audio
encoders, data transmissions, multiplexers and management systems.
Factum Electronics has previously supplied similar digital radio
solutions to customers in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Hungary, Korea,
Norway and Sweden.
"Danish Radio has once again chosen equipment from Factum which proves
that our focus on customer satisfaction and providing the highest degree
of value is highly appreciated by our customers", says Kenneth Lundgren,
MD of Factum Electronics AB.
Factum Electronics AB is a leading DAB system provider to large national
broadcasters, network operators and commercial radio stations. "DAB by
