Price increases
8/17/2004 5:02 AM EST
The prices of benzene and phenol continue to strongly increase.
Following an 11% increase from June - July, prices have increased by a
further 10% in August. The phenol price is now at an historic all-time
high. As a result of this unprecedented situation Dynea is forced to
further increase its prices in Europe with immediate effect. Prices for
solid phenolic resins will rise by EUR 120 per metric ton, while prices
for liquid phenolic resins will rise by 50 to 80 EUR (increase depending
on the composition of the respective product).
