The Woodlands, TX, October 12, 2011— RPC, Inc. (“RPC”) has signed a long term lease in a 79,000 square foot single-tenant building in The Woodlands, Texas. The building is located at 2828 Technology Forest Drive and sits on 4.21 acres. The property consists of approximately 61,000 square feet of office on two floors and approximately 18,000 square feet of warehouse space.
On behalf of RPC, BANDIER Realty Partners underwent a thorough year and a half process evaluating RPC’s real estate in Houston. “RPC currently owns and leases their facilities so we evaluated consolidation via expanding the existing campus, a build to suit, or possible lease opportunities around the city. After conducting a study of employee residence locations, and the opportunities across the city, it was determined that The Woodlands market would best accommodate the needs of RPC and their employees” said Rob Banzhaf, Managing Principal, BANDIER Realty Partners.
“We are very pleased to be making this move,” stated Richard A. Hubbell, RPC’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We moved into our existing space in Houston almost nine years ago. We are almost five times larger today than we were at that time, and we simply needed to consolidate several locations for a number of our operational and administrative employees. In addition, we like The Woodlands because of the amenities it offers and its proximity to so many of our employees’ homes.”
The Class A building, was built in 1987, acquired by Black Forest Ventures in the late 1990s, and was recently fully renovated in 2011. It is located within Black Forest Technology Park which consists of several Class A and Class B properties, including the future home of The Woodlands Township. “This building will offer a campus like environment to accommodate RPC’s long term needs.” per Sean Quinn, Asset Manager, Black Forest Ventures.
“In addition to a consolidated campus environment and improving operational efficiencies, RPC will also quickly realize significant value in the immediate amenities and resources of The Woodlands market”, Trey Halberdier adds – Managing Principal of BANDIER Realty Partners.
