Socially engaging, money saving scavenger hunt where participants will connect online to compete offline in a real-life, location-based event.
Chicago, IL- On Saturday, September 10, 2011, social media mavens exercise their savvy skills as they navigate their way around Chicago seeking scavenges, looking for money saving clues and completing physical tasks. Teams of two will complete their tasks by checking-in on Foursquare and tweeting their finds.
Teams will have the opportunity to put their Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Foursquare skills to the test during the digital prelude to Downtown Dash. The social engagement competition is a virtual contest that starts on Monday, August 8thand ends on Thursday, September 8th, 2011. Downtown Dash teams will vie against each other online in a pre-game battle designed to measure the influence teams have over their social-sphere.
The “real life” scavenger hunt takes place on September 10, 2011. Teams will start at the ING DIRECT Café and head out on a four-hour quest. Downtown Dash is designed to provide an interactive adventure for Chicago’s most active social media lovers while strengthening the relationship between event partners and their audiences.
