Natural & Organic Products Europe, home to the UK’s biggest natural beauty and spa trade event, returns to London’s Olympia next month on 3-4 April, with a host of inspiring seminars led by some of the biggest names from the natural and organic beauty sectors – including Weleda, Spieza Organics, Dr. Bronner’s, The Organic Pharmacy and Organic Monitor.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of the seminar programme at this year’s show, which features some of the best speakers and most influential names in our industry today. It is without doubt our best programme yet,” says Simon Barry, Event Director of Natural & Organic Products Europe.
Headline speakers in this year’s Natural Beauty & Spa Theatre, sponsored by Kinetic Natural Products Distributor and JASON, with sessions arranged by Organic Monitor, include Inés Hermida, whole body coordinator at London’s Whole Foods Market, discussing ‘Retailing Natural Beauty Products’; award-winning Lovelula.com founder Claire Braithwaite on the benefits and pitfalls of ‘Creating your on-line presence’; and Judi Beerling, technical research manager at Organic Monitor, providing guidance on ‘Ingredients in cosmetic products: a dummy's guide for retailers’.
A hugely popular speaker at last year’s show, Michael Bonner, vice-president of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps and a grandson of its founder Emmanuel Bronner, returns for 2011 to discuss the ‘Ethical sourcing of ingredients’. The session will explore the challenges of setting up ethical sourcing projects for the supply of organic and fair trade ingredients. Key representatives from the Soil Association (Martyn Cole) and NaTrue (Julie Tyrrel) will also take to the stage on Monday 12 April to give an update on ‘Natural & organic beauty certification’.
Other Natural Beauty & Spa Theatre seminar highlights include:
• Dig a little deeper: 90 years of sustainability – Roger Barsby & Jayn Sterland (Weleda UK)
• UK natural beauty market update & trends – Amarjit Sahota (Organic Monitor)
• Organic products for spa – Katie Light and Amanda Barlow (Spiezia Organics)
• Merging organic, health and wellness – Margo Marrone (Organic Pharmacy)
