Natural Beauty & Spa: Exhibitor Show Highlights at Natural & Organic Products Europe 2011

This weekend’s Natural & Organic Products Europe, taking place over 3-4 April at London’s Olympia will feature over 100 Natural Beauty & Spa exhibitors. From new product launches to brand innovations and packaging re-designs – the following is just a taste of what show press and industry buyers can expect to see at the UK’s only dedicated trade event for natural and organic products.
• Forever Natural (stand 2075) will be exhibiting a new line of products at the show. Urban Spa, a world of sustainable and beautiful bath and body accessories, has launched a new range of gift sets – providing everything for the perfect home spa. EO, natural and organic beauty, have added to its hair care range with a sulfate free Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo and Conditioner, a Lavender & Coconut Nourishing Cream and Coconut & Vanilla Tame Curl Gel. There’s also a new range of organic lip balms from Eco Lips. Ecotint – mineral tinted balms, which give a sheer, luminescent natural glow to your own lip colour.
• Award-winning Alva UK, leaders in organic skincare, are proud to introduce their stunning mineral make-up range Green Equinox. An explosion of colours, each tower of four pots can be applied as eye shadow, eye liner, lipstick, lip gloss or blusher. 100% vegan and certified organic, this is mineral make-up at its best. Also new from EarthSolutions (stand 3064) is the simply brilliant PUREPapaya Ointment. Another little gem from Australia, this multipurpose ointment is 100% pure and natural, and is designed to soothe, moisturise and protect dry, irritated skin, chapped lips, nappy rash, and more besides.
• After landing a finalist spot in the 2010 Natural & Organic Awards, with its multi award winning Organic Cuticle and Nail Oil, Green Hands, will make its trade show debut this year (stand 1092) to promote the oil to a wider audience. The oil, featured in The Green Beauty Bible by Sarah Stacey and Jo Fairley has also won a place in this season’s hotly tipped best sequel The Anti Ageing Beauty Bible, where it has been tried and tested with great results. It has also been short listed for a second year in the Natural & Organic Awards for best organic body care product.
• Australian natural skincare brand Sukin launch Purely Ageless. This new anti-oxidant rich range, specifically created for the more mature skin, works with nature to capture the best in innovative actives, for the best in gentle anti-ageing care, balance and purely ageless beauty. The Purely Ageless range boasts 5 anti-ageing products, including: ‘Daily Essentials Facial Moisturiser’, ‘Botanical Hydration Booster’, ‘Intensive Firming Serum’, ‘Replenishing Night Cream’ and ‘Nutrient Rich Hand Treatment’. As with all Sukin products, the Purely Ageless range does not contain sulphates, synthetic fragrances, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, petro-chemicals, artificial colours, triethanolamine, mineral oils or parabens (stand 1090).
• Botanicals Natural Skin Care, winners of two of last year’s coveted Natural & Organic Awards – ‘Best Organic Body Care’ and Best Organic Facial Skin Care’, has been shortlisted for an award again this year. Botanicals, a small organic apothecary specialising in natural and organic skincare products, was launched eight years ago by Wendy Stirling; who runs the company from a converted stable-block in rural Leicestershire. "Our mint and tea tree foot balm is up for Best Organic Body Care for a second year running," explained a delighted Wendy. • The Australian Botanics Company (stand 4095) launches a new range of natural skin and body care products specially designed for men. The ranges includes a face cream, tea tree face scrub, face wash, shaving oil and gel, face mask, a low gloss lip balm and zesty Australian desert lime soap bar. The men’s shave oil is a 100% natural and contains Australian Mint Bush oil, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties. The tea tree face scrub exfoliates and cleanses the skin, and the hemp seed oil based face moisturiser has natural extracts of Iceland moss, rice bran, cucumber and marine kelp to naturally hydrate the skin.
• Project Organics Brasil will represent Brazil with three exhibiting companies, including cosmetics companies Surya Brasil and Florestas/Ikove (stand 4070). They will be showcasing their products made with amazonic exotic ingredients, such as: andiroba, camu-camu, cupuaçu, açaí, nuts, copaiba, buriti and berries. Organics Brasil Project is the result of a joint action of private enterprise with the IPD (Institute for Promotion of Development) and the Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investment), forming a solid institutional base meant to strengthen the Brazilian organic and facilitate its expansion in international markets.
• Rhodes to Heaven (stand 1077) is a UK made luxury, organic, naturally active skincare range, described by journalists as "Glamorous and Green!" Rhodes to Heaven specialise in exceptional formulations that allow each product to do much more than one job, resulting in less packaging and less fuss. Products at the show include: Juniperberry Cleanser, Tonic & Eye-Makeup Remover...all in one; All In One Facial Rescue, a moisturising serum that regenerates, lifts, plumps, protects adds radiance and hydrates; a Rose Extract Facial Polish, an exfoliating mask that also helps reduce sun damage; and Naturally Active Lip Plumper Balm. Less is best, designed for women with busy lives.
• First time exhibitors GAIAVITA cosmetics (stand 1051) will be exhibiting its new range of 95% organic skincare, which includes day cream, night cream and eye cream. The skincare range has certification by the strict standards of the Hungarian BIOKONTROLL, which is licensed by the EU. The range: Gaiavita 95% Organic Day Cream, moisturising and rejuvenating with orange blossom and fenugreek; Gaiavita 95% Organic night cream, nourishing and regenerating with royal jelly and plant extracts; GAIAVITA 95% Organic Eye Cream, refreshing and smoothing with ginkgo biloba and antioxidant vitamins; and Gaiavita All Natural Clay Body Mask, slimming and firming with Cambrian green clay and ginkgo biloba –300ml.
• Natural Empathy, hailed as one of the top ten up and coming British brands by You magazine in 2010, will be exhibiting at Natural & Organic Products Europe for the first time (stand 2074). This beautifully British natural skincare family business is based in Northumberland, where the main moisturising ingredient (extra virgin oil) is grown and cold pressed by a local farmer. This gold award winning and ethical natural skin and hair range is Vegan, paraben and SLS free and fabulously fragrant. Its ‘beautifully British hand and body lotion’ has been shortlisted for ‘Best new packaging design’ at this year’s Natural & Organic Awards.
• Julie Mason, founder of WARC Natural Beauty Products (stand 2121), delivers a new dimension to luxury natural beauty products. With expertise starting in 1980 as a chartered and state registered Physiotherapist, IHBC and Decleor Beauty Therapy, Shirley Price Aromatherapy and The British School of Reflexology. A Signature Blend researched for over five years in the NHS underpins the initial launch range, which contains 100% pure essential oils at therapy strength. Luxury, low cost natural body products, not tested on animals. Small product sizes giving flexibility of purchase, easy to use and versatile.
• Afriteaque (stand 4093) contains Rooibos, which stimulates the skin’s natural cellular renewal process and limits the activity of free radicals. Afriteaque’s deep penetrating formula is easily absorbed, leaving skin soft, nourished and delicately fragranced. It helps to even out skin tone, creating the perfect base for make-up. • Bodytox (stand 4071) launches new products at Natural & Organic Products Europe 2011. Following the success of the launch of Lavender Sleep Patches last year, Bodytox will be launching a whole range of new and organic products at the show. Zuii Organic Flora Make-up is an Australian product range, which Bodytox have just secured UK distribution for. Zuii is the only 100% organic make-up range made from flowers. As well as the make-up, Bodytox will also be launching a new range of organic perfumes by Les Fleurs de Bach.
• New natural anti-aging skincare products – from a beautiful place. Slow the signs of aging with Comvita's new natural anti-aging Skincare range. • Modern Herbals (stand 2003) will be showcasing the brand new packaging of Active Age Defence; a range of skincare based on pure botanicals, premium ingredients, always paraben free and with no animal testing. This ultra-moisturising range combines nourishing ingredients to feed the skin inside and out, providing protection from pollution, dryness and stress. Gentle enough for even the most sensitive faces. Modern Herbals will have special deals for retailers and samples of the product to give away.
• The Green Grocery (stand 7060D) is a Sussex based skincare and perfume company producing 100% certified organic and vegan friendly ranges. All products are certified 100% organic by the OF&G and are free from chemicals, parabens, SLS, perfumes and water. The ‘original skincare’ line includes a Foot Balm, Hand Balm, ‘Luxurious’ Body Balm and a range of Body Oils – Warming, Floral, Pregnancy and Invigorating. The ‘scent range’ – Love Letter, The Girls, Kismet and Metro (unisex), includes solid scents, spray perfumes, body balms and body scrubs. The Green Grocery does not use anything in its products that nature hasn’t provided.
• Cocovogue Philippines (stand 1053) is quite possibly the smallest and youngest company exhibiting at Natural & Organic Products Europe. It is also, almost certainly, the only Philippine company taking part. However, the fact that the beauty products are produced using a blend of raw virgin coconut oil and organic moringa as the base, means that Cocovogue is a must-see company. Reasons for making a beeline to the Cocovogue stand include: it is an Equitrade company (the products are made in the developing country where the ingredients are grown), and it is bringing something new and exciting to the market.

• Visit stand 7065 to sample the delights Olive Living have to offer and to enter a prize draw to win a fantastic weekend for two in Milan.
