DiaGenic reports high 85% accuracy for blood based diagnosis in early Parkinson ...

The initial findings from DiaGenic sponsored prospective European multicenter Parkinson study is reported. The initial read out of the first subcohort of 79 PD patients and 75 matched healthy controls with no neurodegenerative disease, shows a diagnostic accuracy of 85% in early disease patients while overall accuracy was 88% across all stages.

DiaGenic has now received notice of allowance of the United States family 3 patent application (11/628,300). The claims allowed cover the use of some important gene sequences or the related proteins in blood sample for detection and monitoring of breast cancer in the US. The patent will be valid until 2025.

Oslo, September 5th 2011: According to the resolution by the Annual General Meeting on 23 May 2011, the Board of Directors in DiaGenic ASA today allotted options to DiaGenic employees. The share options have strike price of NOK 6.00 per share, which is set based on last week weighted share price + 10%. The options have life of 4 years and can be exercised after 3 years.
